Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Foundation

Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Foundation is a national charity raising funds to improve the quality of life for children in hospitals and hospices throughout the UK.

Serious illness is always distressing but in a child it is cruelly so as it steals away childhood itself.

What it does

Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Foundation raises money to improve the quality of life for children in hospitals and hospices throughout the UK. The Foundation works with a network of children’s hospitals and hospices to provide the very best comforts and facilities available.

Hospitals can be frightening enough if you’re an adult, but for a child it can seem like another world – strange rooms, needles, tubes, medicine and funny smells can all combine to make a stay in hospital uncomfortable.

Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Foundation is here to try and help. The Foundation provides funding to support projects such as:

 Arts, music play and entertainment programmes to stimulate young minds and divert attention away from illness.
 Providing welcoming and accessible environments and surroundings, designed specifically for children in a fun and engaging way.
 Funding Education and Information Programmes to educate young people and recognising the importance of self help and health related issues.
 Helping to fund the acquisition of medical facilities, which can help to improve diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of conditions and illnesses in children.
 Sustaining family relationships helping to keep families together during emotionally difficult times.
 Helping to meet the cost of care in a children’s hospice where children and their families are cared for during good days, difficult days and last days.
 Supporting children with physical and emotional difficulties empowering and increasing confidence.

The Foundation funds an innovative range of projects to ensure children in hospitals and hospices have a better, brighter future.

Let's get started.
