Woolworths brand may soon be found trading as an online retailer following its purchase by Daily Telegraph owners, Sir David and Sir Frederick Barclay reports BBC News recently.

It appears that despite the loss of more than 800 branches and almost 30,000 job this well known brand has not disappeared altogether and that Woolworths along with the clothing label Ladybird will be re-born on-line. The new venture is hoped to launch by the summer and it is hoped that a new type of Internet-aware shopper will come and browse the store and help the company become a thriving on-line business and keep the Woolworths brand alive and kicking.
