Fwix has introduced a new web based search engine that allows users to easily filter their search results by geographic location. The interface is very slick and features Google Maps with a circle who’s size and radius can be customised by the user. The site obtains it’s listings from blogs and the websites of local newspapers, to provide search results that are local to the defined region. An example is shown below where the keyword hotels has been used with the search centred on Nottingham.
Moving the search focus to Birmingham returns a different set of search results as shown below.
