Managed Business Communications (MBC) was founded in 2004 by Simon Leadley to provide businesses with telephone systems, mobile phones, broadband, and other communications packages to enable them to stream line services, reduce cost, boost productivity and increase efficiency. In 2013, MBC was acquired by leading IT support and services provider, Air-IT in a strategic move to enable the two businesses to work together to offer a fully-converged communications and IT solutions.

the challenge

The original MBC website had been developed by an in-house technical team and could therefore only be updated by users with computer coding and programming knowledge. MBC desired a website that would reflect a more professional image and be built on a content manager that the marketing team could easily update on a regular basis. The website was also going to be a key method of generating new business and therefore needed to have SEO and social media tools incorporated in the CMS to make it easier distribute news stories.

Having worked with the marketing team on previous projects we were presented with a very clear brief full of ideas on what the site needed to portray and do. We designed the initial home page design which was quickly signed off for development and build. Due to the confidential nature of the acquisition we had to proceed covertly and be sure that the website was ready to launch immediately once the deal had been signed.

MBC now has a sleek and attractive website that allows the company to present their service offering an intuitive way. The website can be easily navigated to find business communication services and advice. This is supported by a regular programme of on-line marketing support which is also beginning to deliver results by generating enquiries and click throughs. The added SEO and social media tools have enabled MBC to publish news and blog stories quickly and easily to increase their page ranking in Google key word searches. The home page is very appealing and the lay out shows exactly what MBC does so that the visitor is engaged and can easily find a solution to their needs and client as well as supplier feedback has been very positive.
