Mansfield 2020 is an award winning Midlands business club, and have been crowned ‘The Midlands Business Club of the Year 2014’ at the Prestigious Midlands Business Awards. Founded in 1991, it is one of the longest established, trusted and uniquely united network of business and community professionals. With a strong management team, M2020 is renowned for making growth happen. Their aim is to connect people and build partnerships so that organisations in Mansfield and surrounding areas prosper, create jobs and promote local business, leisure, tourism and community activties.

Mansfield 2020 was embarking on a new era of growth and member recruitment. They required a new website that was engaging, would help them further connect with existing members and attract new members. It was also important that key events could be publicised, that M2020 maintained and improved its ranking for keyword searches, and developed a stronger on-line and social media presence.

As members of Mansfield 2020 ourselves we already had a good understanding of the benefits that membership has to offer. We were therefore able to offer further insight into what the new website should offer to new visitors and members alike. It was also important to ensure that updating the website was as easy as possible.

the outcome

Using an updateable website built on a bespoke platform, M2020 now has the ability to quickly add and update its very busy events programme and member news section. Members can search and post job vacancies. New visitors and members can learn more about the area and the opportunities, grants and business advice on offer. There is also a business hub which profiles member businesses and aims to help them connect and conduct reciprocal business. The website is also set up to provide a members only log-in area so that information that is only to be viewed by authorised users can be viewed securely.
