When our sponsorship deal with Derbyshire County Cricket Club came up for renewal, we had no hesitation in renewing. In fact, we’ve agreed to extend it to a two year deal because it has helped promote our eCommerce website and online marketing solutions so well.

Commenting, Matt Wheatcroft, Purpose Media Managing Director, said: “Our involvement with Derbyshire County Cricket Club over the last year has demonstrated how passionate the club is to help local businesses grow.”

Over the last year Purpose Media has benefited from an increase in name awareness and profile from pitchside advertising boards, the opportunity to entertain clients and generate new business from the variety of 1870 Business Club networking events that the Club organises for the local business community.

The new extended deal will see Purpose Media continue to benefit from these opportunities. In addition, the company has also chosen to be the lead sponsor of the Cricket Club’s annual Golf Day which will take place at Morley Hayes on Tuesday 30 June 2015.

Derbyshire County Cricket Club Chief Executive, Simon Storey added: “We are really pleased that Purpose Media have benefited so much from their partnership with us. Sponsorship deals like this help us to continue our investment on and off the field.

“We have invested a million pounds during the off season improving facilities around the ground. In order for local businesses to carry on investing in us we need to be able to provide a first class conference and events venue as well as opportunities for them to grow their business.”

The sponsorship deal has enabled Purpose Media to agree apprenticeship deals with the Club’s Principal Partner, 3aaa, which will see them employ up to ten young people over the next 12 months. A number of high profile Derbyshire businesses have also appointed Purpose Media since seeing their name appear more prominently, including Derby County Football Club, Eatons the Jewellers and IT support services provider GCI.

Purpose Media will also be providing Derbyshire with advice on developing their own web and online marketing strategy, including engagement with fans and commercial partners using social media and email marketing.

Let's get started.
