Clocking an impressive 4 hours and 2 minutes, Mitch made it back to the office this week after a gruelling 26-mile Virgin Money London Marathon!
Following 14 weeks of (mostly) rigorous training, our digital marketing consultant has so far raised over £2,000 for Cancer Research UK.Despite being narrowly pipped to the post by Kenyan Eliud Kipchoge, give or take two hours, Mitch managed to represent Purpose Media with pride – without ‘doing a Paula Radcliffe’ as he’d predicted.
As a consultant, Mitch is naturally all about improving results so he’ll be setting his sights on a world record attempt next time round.
Although at one stage full fancy dress was on the cards, his marketing instinct kicked in and Mitch offered personal advertising space throughout the televised race.
Sporting his custom-designed sponsored shirt, Mitch took in the sights of London while promoting a number of charitable businesses.
He said: “I want to say a huge thank you to my friends, family, girlfriend and all the clients who have sponsored and supported me.
“I’m hoping if there is next time I will be adding some sort of Guinness World Record to my collection. The London Marathon will be up there with one of my greatest and fondest memories. However, in the meantime it is time to pile the pounds back on and think about running another 26.2 miles in the not so far distant future.”
Thank you to all the Purpose Media clients below who helped with a donation!
Despite the race being over and the aches fading away, Mitch’s fundraising page is still alive and well.
