Here at Purpose Media we understand the value of apprentices, that’s why we’re using National Apprenticeships Week to launch our annual search for our next intake of new recruits.
We have employed 11 apprentices over the past ten years, eight of whom are still with us.
And we are now on the lookout for three new recruits to join our growing team, including a Digital Marketing Apprentice and two Account Management Apprentices.
Our first apprentice was Account Director Jamie Bourn, who has been with Purpose since 2011 and has progressed on to its senior management team, where he is responsible for looking after all its retained marketing clients.
He said: “Purpose Media’s apprenticeship scheme offers fantastic opportunities across the business. I joined as an apprentice at 16 and have worked in a variety of roles across all areas of the business, which has given me a solid background of technical knowledge.
“Since moving into my current position, my experience as an apprentice has helped me to deliver a better service by understanding clients’ requirements and helping them to look through the eyes of their customers.
“We commit a lot of time and effort into developing our apprentices into real assets for the team – and we’re always on the lookout for raw talent that can move up the ranks.”
Other former apprentices who have worked their way up into senior roles within the company include Head of Digital Marketing Mitch Brown, Project Manager Lewis Angell and Support Desk Manager Seb Wilson.
Purpose Media runs its own apprenticeship scheme, which sees an annual intake of apprentices join, to be given a good grounding within the company.
We are working with leading apprenticeships provider 3aaa to find our next batch of recruits.
Managing Director Matt Wheatcroft said: “We’ve built our business on the back of apprentices and over the years have employed some talented young people who have grown to become skilled and trusted members of the team.
“We are firm believers in giving young people opportunities to succeed, because today’s apprentices are the business leaders of the future and we believe in equipping them with the skills and experience they need to forge a successful career in the digital sector.
“We’re always on the lookout for the right people to join our growing team and anyone interested in finding out more about our apprenticeship scheme should get in touch.”
