Apprenticeship Week took place on 4th to 8th March 2019. This annual celebration brings the whole apprenticeship community together to celebrate the impact of apprenticeships on individuals, employers and the economy.

Throughout the week, a series of nationwide and local events will take place; last year there were over 500 to choose from! The event gets bigger each year as apprenticeships become a popular choice for young people.

This year’s theme for #NAW2019, is ‘Blaze A Trail’, highlighting how viable apprenticeships are as an alternative to going to university. Employers and apprentices from across the country are already coming together to encourage more young people to choose an apprenticeship. As well as educating new employers and the wider community on the benefits.

Celebrating apprentices

Here at Purpose, apprenticeships have played a massive part in our success. Going from strength to strength, some of our past apprentices are now in managerial and directorial roles, so each year we like to celebrate how important they are. And this year, we helped another company do it too!

Ashtead Plant Hire Company (A-Plant) commissioned us to create an Apprenticeship Week film to help celebrate and encourage young people to consider taking part in an apprenticeship with A-Plant.

Travelling to four separate locations, our team filmed some of A-Plant’s apprentice workers as they told the story of what it’s like to work for the company and the opportunities their apprenticeship has given them.

Featuring the various divisions available to work in, the film helps display the possibilities on offer, showing the wide variety of roles on offer, from plant maintenance to customer services.

Client feedback

“We’ve worked with Purpose Media before and the team are not only always creative but also extremely helpful and easy to work with. Production comes through quickly and updates are done there and then.”

“During filming, the team, especially John, are fantastic. They really help relax the lucky people who have a camera shoved in front of them! All of which helps get a really good result.”

Film from PM

Film is an excellent way of showcasing talent, creating excitement and demonstrating a project in an engaging and entertaining way.

Whether you’d like to create something to celebrate a national event or a new campaign, we can sure come up with something that’ll engage and convert.

If you’d like to use film for your latest project, get in touch, we’d love to help!
