We congratulate Katrina on her appointment to the D2N2 People & Skills Advisory Board.

PM Marketing Director, Katrina Starkie, has snagged yet another supporting role within the business community, sitting on the D2N2 People & Skills Advisory Board.

Helping secure the future workforce in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, the board engages with public bodies, education establishments and private businesses.

Representatives on the board work together to ensure a robust strategy is created and implemented – and Katrina has been appointed as a representative from the private sector.

Her experience in working with schools and as an employer for the past 10 years means she can offer valuable support to the board – and give back to the business community Purpose Media is proud to be a part of.

Katrina poses with students after conducting a presentation with pupils from Brunts School.

Katrina said; “I’ve been involved with D2N2 since its launch and my involvement in this board is a great opportunity to build towards the future prosperity of the area.

“During my career, I’ve worked on a number of programmes to help children and young people find their career and future employment – and I’ve been lucky enough to see some of the young people I’ve met go through their education and find great jobs – it’s a brilliant feeling!”

Katrina’s role will see her manage the delivery of the D2N2 Strategic Objectives for People and Skills, shaping and influencing the connection between strategy, delivery, and beneficiaries. Her work will help improve the skillset and employability of those in the area.
