We are celebrating 11 years in business, and learning new techniques to ensure our clients get more bang from their marketing spend.
Established in October 2008 by Matt Wheatcroft and Tim Lenton, Purpose Media originally focussed on the design, development and ongoing support of ecommerce websites, bagging numerous awards along the way for their rapid growth and innovation.
As the world of the web and digital marketing grew and changed, so did we, merging with award-winning film production company A-Star Media and acquiring Derby-based design agency Revolver-Revolver to expand their offer in 2016.
In the last 4 years these additions, along with developing internal content, digital marketing and account management teams, has seen our growth from 5 members of staff to 30 (plus Pepper the office dog) – and creating a full-service agency in the process.
A milestone worth celebrating
Managing Director, Matt Wheatcroft, said;
‘Every birthday for Purpose Media is a milestone worth celebrating. We’ve come from humble beginnings to one of the largest agencies outside London, working with clients from across the spectrum, from local manufacturers and service providers to global brands and multi-billion pound companies.
I’m proud we’ve been able to build a team that truly puts customers first, and thinks creatively so we can work across a wide range of businesses and provide value for all of them.
We started in a recession, and adapted the business for everything that’s been thrown at us along the way, with uncertainty on the horizon we’re prepped and ready to keep doing the same.’
Adapting to change
Technical Director, Tim Lenton, said;
‘We’re always monitoring and improving our processes to get the best for our clients. You can never get complacent in business, especially marketing, as everything moves so quickly. Client’s who’ve been with us since the beginning have grown as we have and see us as part of their team.
We offer this same level of dedication to our new customers too – it’s fantastic to see how much we’ve come on and the effect our support has had on clients’ businesses.’
Looking to the future
‘As always we have new ideas to help us make Purpose Media better, offering our clients new ways to approach their marketing and add value to web, design, video or content projects. We’re nailing projects now that a few years ago we wouldn’t have been able to approach, so as a culture we’re always looking ahead to new things we can learn and new ways we can help bring customers more.’
‘Here’s to the next 11 years and beyond, I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us.’
If you want to tap into our team and their 11 years of expertise, why not drop us a line?
