The team has generously donated a hamper full of food to a South Normanton based foodbank to help families in need this Christmas.

Christmas should be a time of joy and celebration, but last year, food banks in the Trussell Trust network distributed over half a million food parcels to children.

Food banks are doing all they can to help families in crisis, especially during the festive period. So, this year we decided to get involved.

Wendy Comins from the local food bank came to collect our donation.

Doing Our Bit

PM staff members collected various food items over a two-week period to help those less fortunate in the local community.

Purpose Media Managing Director, Matt Wheatcroft said: “Christmas is such a special time of year, but it can be incredibly difficult for those struggling.

Purpose Media decided to make a food parcel donation to help make a difference to local families who are struggling this Christmas.

We’ve added everything from tinned beans and pasta to special Christmas treats like chocolates and biscuits – so everyone can enjoy a little treat this year”.

Wendy Comins, Project Manager at the South Normanton Area Foodbank thanked Purpose Media for its donation: “Our foodbank relies on the generosity of others and we thank the team at Purpose Media for their kindness and charity this Christmas.

The food donated will help make a huge difference to those in need in the local area”.
