We’re sick (not really – but keep your distance anyway) of hearing the word ‘unprecedented’ just lately – but how else can we describe what’s going on in the world?

This time last month we were in the office working as usual, and now we’re at home and quickly adapting to the new normal. It’s not easy trying to keep a business moving forward at the best of times, but as millions of plans are rapidly being put on hold, and the support for businesses is evolving at a pace, we wanted to help as much as we can.

So, we’ve put together a list of resources you can access in one place to try and make it easy for you to find the help you need.

We’ve learned pretty quickly that not all of the schemes available can help every business – but they are changing all the time. Where we can really help you is getting your message out there to your customers, so they know what’s happening and you can bounce back once we begin to return to normal.

Get in touch if you’d like to talk to a member of our team, or check out the links we’ve put together below to see where you can get help – because now more than ever we will achieve more, together.

Government Business Support

A full range of business support measures have been made available to UK businesses and employees.

The link below helps businesses find out how to access the support that has been made available, who is eligible, when the schemes open and how to apply.

Everything you might want to find out about what support is available is here, in one handy place, and it’s pretty simple to navigate too!

GOV.UK

The GOV.UK website is full of resources to guide businesses on what they need to do during the current climate.

It is updated daily and is great if you love detail. However, if you digest information best in chunks, this resource might not be for you.

Take a look.

Do your research to see what’s available to you.

Federation of Small Businesses

As well as sharing a hub of business guidance, the FSB are also hosting a series of webinars, providing vital information to support the self-employed and small businesses.

Their website is easy to use, has relevant information laid out in digestible chunks and is full of other useful Covid-19 related tips, such as protecting staff mental health.

CBI

The CBI’s Coronavirus Hub provides all the information you need to know about the virus and how it will impact your business. Including advice, guidance, and what your business can do to help.

For a snapshot of what you need to know, CBI film ‘update’ videos and post them to the site. And as well as regular update videos, the CBI also host daily Coronavirus webinars, explaining how it’s impacting the business community, and what your business can do to mitigate the impact. As webinars are daily, they’re always as up to date as possible.

Researching will help you find the right website for your business

Make a note of your findings and which resources you like, so you have all the information you find useful at hand.

British Chambers of Commerce

The British Chambers of Commerce are informing businesses about the steps that Chambers and members can implement to minimise impact on local communities and support the UK government’s strategy.

Information is separated into helpful sections, designed so you can choose what information you want to see based on relevance.

The BCC also has a ‘Coronavirus Business Impact Tracker’, which will serve as a barometer of business’ response to the government’s measures and changes to business’ working practices over the next few months. It also tracks how quickly new government interventions, introduced to deal with the real-world impact of this crisis, are getting to the businesses at the front line.

Sage

The guys at Sage have put together a UK Government Funding Support Tool to help you understand which of the government schemes your business is likely to be eligible for and clear guidance on how you access them.

It’s really simple to use and only takes a couple of minutes.
