Agency strengthens team by signing experienced content strategist

Strategic marketing agency Purpose Media has strengthened its growing team with the appointment of experienced journalist and academic Caroline Jones as content strategist.

Caroline brings nearly 20 years’ experience in journalism and media to the South Normanton-based agency, where she will play a key role helping clients better engage with their audiences.

She previously held senior positions at the Derby Telegraph and Liverpool Echo news organisations, helping lead digital-first content strategies and oversee large editorial teams.

Caroline has also built a strong academic profile, most recently serving as a senior lecturer and programme leader in journalism and media at the University of Derby. She is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Sheffield.

Caroline said her move into marketing was driven by a desire to help organisations better understand and connect with their audiences.

“I’ve always been fascinated by how consumers engage with different types of content,” she said. “I’m particularly interested in how we can use strategic storytelling and harness the latest technologies to help organisations find their voice and communicate their messages in the most effective ways.
