During her studies, Rachel was keen to broaden her skillset and knowledge, securing work placements at The Derbyshire Times, Food Network, Travel Channel, and the LADbible Group.
In 2014, Rachel began freelancing for Pretty52, the third largest of the LADbible Group’s 11 publications. Creating women’s entertainment content on a weekly basis, Rachel soon learnt that she wanted to go into the creative writing industry.
Rachel began working for Hull-based marketing agency, StrawberryToo as a Digital Marketing Executive in 2017. Here she honed in on her copywriting skills and further developed her experience within social media marketing, creating content for a wide variety of clients ranging from personal trainers to swimwear brands.
At Purpose Media, Rachel works as a Creative Copywriter, crafting captivating content to offer consistency throughout client communications and campaigns. It’s her job to make relevant and engaging copy that inspires and connects with audiences for a range of brands and channels, including print, web and social media.
Her primary areas of knowledge lie within content, creative writing, and social media marketing.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys jetting off on a mini-break and loves a city escape. While she’s away, Rachel likes to take pictures of her travels and often records the trip on her GoPro, creating memories to look back on in years to come. If the pics don’t make it into the memory box, they’ll certainly make it onto her Instagram feed!
As well as visiting new places, Rachel enjoys spending time at home cooking for her family and friends and regularly donates food parcels to her local food bank.
